Brom Wikstrom
Brom Wikstrom began his career in his father’s commercial art business before studying art and working as a sign painter in New Orleans. Following a swimming accident in 1975, he became paralysed and began painting with his mouth. He later received a scholarship from the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists and is now a full member.
Working primarily in watercolour, his art is known for its clarity, strong composition and transparent colour. Alongside his practice, Brom has studied art therapy, established an arts programme at a children’s hospital, and shared his work through schools and community events, earning international recognition.
