Itzhak Adir
Itzhak Adir trained as an Air Force engineer before a serious injury at the age of 24 left him permanently confined to a wheelchair. He went on to rebuild his life as a mouth painter, receiving a scholarship from the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists and studying at the Academy for Art Teachers in Ramat Hasharon, where he graduated with honours and later became a full member.
Alongside his artistic career, Itzhak works as a teacher and lecturer, developing a course focused on using art in rehabilitation. His work features still lifes and landscapes, brought to life through a refined use of colour and strong artistic technique, and has been exhibited internationally.
