Lorena Guarise
Lorena Guarise was born in 1960 in Udine. Living with a neurological condition that limits the use of her arms and legs, she developed an early interest in painting but was unable to pursue it at first.
In 1995, with the support of an art professor, she began painting with her mouth and has continued to develop her practice ever since.
Her work explores real, surreal and expressive themes, often brought to life through vivid colour. Lorena has since held a number of solo exhibitions.
