Somchi Doungkew was born on 13 January 1979. He has no arms and no right leg and grew up in extremely poor conditions. His interest in mouth painting awakened after he had got in touch with the publishing company in Thailand. He has since been striving to become a recognised artist and a respected member of society. The mouth painter prefers motifs from his native country.
