A beautifully observed koala in a gum tree by celebrated Australian mouth painter Bruce Peardon, part of the MFPA Icons Collection. Printed on semi-gloss FSC-certified paper in a durable pine frame — an iconic piece of Australian wildlife art for any home.

This print is part of the MFPA Icons Collection — a series celebrating the life and work of deceased Australian full members of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists. These are artists who built careers, exhibited internationally, and left behind paintings that deserve to keep finding new walls.

Bruce Peardon (1945–2001) came to mouth painting during rehabilitation following a car accident in 1962, guided by fellow artists and close friends Bill Mooney and James K. Meath. He received a scholarship from the MFPA, became a full member in 1972, and eventually served on the Association's Managing Board. His work spanned the Australian landscape, wildlife, mythology and children's illustration — the last of which brought him international recognition, with his books reaching readers around the world. He exhibited widely throughout his career and left a lasting legacy within the MFPA community.

This Koala painting shows Bruce at his most tender and precise — a koala mid-climb on a gum tree, rendered with the kind of warmth and attention that only comes from someone who truly loved the subject. It's a painting that feels immediately, unmistakably Australian. Printed on semi-gloss FSC-certified paper and set in a durable pine frame with shatterproof plexiglass, it arrives ready to hang in four frame colour options (42cm x 59.4cm). Purchasing this print helps preserve Bruce's legacy and supports the MFPA's mission of financial independence for disabled artists worldwide.
