This print is part of the MFPA Icons Collection — a series celebrating the life and work of deceased Australian full members of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists. These are artists who built careers, exhibited internationally, and left behind paintings that deserve to keep finding new walls.

Margaret Greig (d. 2018) joined the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists in 1970 — one of the organisation's earliest Australian members — after developing her painting skills following polio, which left her quadriplegic. Raised on a farm, she brought a farmer's eye to everything she painted: the gentle roll of paddocks, the patience of animals, the quality of afternoon light across open country. She exhibited and demonstrated her work throughout Australia and internationally, and was known as much for her warmth and generosity as her artistry — she loved sharing her techniques and inspiring others through her determination and creativity.

This landscape is quintessentially Margaret — sweeping green hills, a still dam, gum trees casting long shadows across golden grass. It's the kind of painting that makes a room feel grounded and calm. Printed on semi-gloss FSC-certified paper and set in a durable pine frame with shatterproof plexiglass, it arrives ready to hang in four frame colour options (45cm x 60cm). Purchasing this print helps preserve Margaret's legacy and supports the MFPA's mission of financial independence for disabled artists worldwide.

Artist Info

Margaret Greig joined the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists in 1970 — one of Australia's earliest MFPA members — after developing her painting skills following polio, which left her quadriplegic. Raised on a farm, she drew her inspiration from country life: animals, horses, cows and the rural Australian landscape. She exhibited and demonstrated her work throughout Australia and internationally, and was known for her warmth, generosity and love of sharing her craft with others. Margaret passed away in 2018, leaving behind a body of work that captures a deeply felt connection to the Australian countryside.
